Currently, the Devil's Throat Circuit is temporarily closed as a preventive measure due to the high water levels of the Iguazú River. However, this affects only this particular circuit: Iguazú National Park remains open, and its main circuits can be visited as usual.
In fact, the high water flow makes the Falls especially impressive. The power of the waterfalls, the mist rising from the river, and the sound of the water accompany you throughout the visit, offering a spectacular view of Iguazú Falls.
Two circuits, two different ways to experience the Falls
Upper Circuit: see the Falls from above
The Upper Circuit invites you to experience Iguazú Falls from above, walking along footbridges over the river that lead to different viewpoints. Along the way, immense waterfalls, lush green islands, and panoramic views reveal the true scale of this extraordinary landscape. It is an ideal circuit to explore at your own pace, stopping at the viewpoints to watch the river transform, within just a few meters, into enormous curtains of water. |
Lower Circuit: get closer to the water
The Lower Circuit offers a completely different experience. Here, the footbridges wind through the vegetation and bring you closer to several waterfalls from a lower perspective. The sound of the water grows stronger, the mist fills the air, and the Falls feel closer than ever. Along the circuit, you can admire waterfalls such as Dos Hermanas, Chico, Álvar Núñez, and Lanusse, among others. |

For travelers who want to spend more time immersed in nature, the Macuco Trail offers an approximately 7-kilometer round-trip walk through the rainforest.
Along the way, you can observe native vegetation, listen to the calls of tropical birds, and experience a wilder and more natural side of Iguazú National Park.
The trail ends in the area of Arrechea Waterfall.

The Ecological Train of the Rainforest
Another characteristic experience within the park is the Ecological Train of the Rainforest, which connects different stations throughout the Falls area.
